Being a new mum I had done a tonne of research into buggies, and jumped at the opportunity to try out Edward’s and Co’s newest Oscar Mx. It’s the classic three wheeler that I was drawn to for its manoeuvrability and sporty appeal. The fact that the buggy seat faces both front and back was probably the biggest drawcard for me. I fully intend on having lots of face to face chats with my little man while we walk around Auckland over the coming months. At the moment, while he’s still only a newborn we’ve been using the carry cot attachment. This is so worth having! He’s extremely comfortable in it, for both long walks and naps while we visit the grandparents. We have been using the UPF50 sun cover which in the summer heat is all we need to keep him shielded from the harsh sun while allowing airflow through the bassinet. The Oscar Mx is super easy to fold down (two handed) and up (one handed by releasing only one latch - fab). It has puncture proof foam filled rubber tyres which I presume is to help keep it light (total weight 10kg) and I’ve found the buggy easy to move around tight corners. We have noticed the buggy be really bumpy on any terrain that’s not paved (e.g. on grass, gravel). So much so that baby’s head was bouncing around a bit too much for our liking. But I don’t know how to compare that with other buggies and our little one is still only a few weeks old, this will probably be less of an issue as he gets older. Having said that, it functions super well on road surfaces and even sand which is our main terrain around Auckland. Finally and importantly the Oscar Mx is super stylish, I love the brown handle and black frame. It’s a great value buggy, with so many awesome features and I would highly recommend it.

This Summer we have been using the Oscar Mx with our baby girl, Sunny. As a new parent it was hard to know what pram to go with, but after using the Mx I can confirm that it is our favourite for many reasons. Some of my favourite features are:The carry cot. We have been using the carry cot for overnight sleeps often while visiting friends and family during the holidays. Its reassuring knowing it is completely safe for Sunny to sleep in it for long periods. The sun shade that attaches to the carry cot is great. I read an article about using blankets over strollers and rather than keeping babies cool they can have an opposite effect, heating up the inside of the buggy even more. The sun shade has a mesh cover with great airflow for those hot summer days. The buggy is very light (10kg) which makes getting it in and out of the boot a breeze and had been super easy for the grandparents. The storage basket is huge and has made our trips to the beach so easy with fitting all sorts underneath. The main seat can be both forward facing and parent facing. This is quite uncommon on three wheeler buggys and it's so nice to be able to see and chat to Sunny while we are out walking.Ive noticed you can click one side of the seat or carry cot at a time rather than having to hold both buttons down simultaneously for it to unlock from the frame of the buggy. This makes it so much easier when I am out with Sunny by myself.Overall, we love using our Mx. It's great to see New Zealand owned companies designing beautiful and well thought out buggys for everyday use.

I love the Oscar Mx, it has so many great features. I looked at all the different types of buggies before having my son and this one met all my requirements. There were so many features that were important to me in a 3-wheel buggy it was hard it find something that did. The Oscar Mx does and I am so happy with it. I have the Carry Cot and the Seat. The breathable Carry Cot is easy to detach and can be used for naps on the move or as an overnight bassinet. I like how the Carry Cot / Reverse Seat can face me, it makes it easy to check on my son when I am out and about and he can see me too. The Oscar Mx also has puncture proof all-terrain tyres so I can take it on the beach and around the Mount with no worries. The Oscar Mx moves really smoothly and as it is very light weighing only 10.3kg, this makes it very easy for me to navigate over anything on our walks. I found the brakes easy to use too. The Oscar Mx is very portable and easy to fold away to fit into my car. I can easily fit my nappy bag underneath and there is even more room for extra storage as well if I need it, like for food shopping etc. Overall I would highly recommend the Oscar Mx to all mamma’s out there, it’s got everything you need in a buggy, it is easy to use and I love it, it is perfect!
