Topic: New here and have a nappy question Posted: 26 August 2005 at 9:46am |
Hi All, I'm new here and also new to NZ. Arrived in March this year.
Anyhoo, I'm hoping that somebody knows if there is a supplier of Minkis (real nappy) in NZ. I use MotherEase on my son but want a more absorbent nappy for night time and I've heard that Minkis are very good however I can't find any here only back in the UK.
Any ideas?
thanks

U could also try asking on one of the www.thenappynetwork.org.nz forums. They are all cloth nappy users and very helpful.

Thanks Ladies,
I've manage to track down an old friend in the UK who deals with them so she's going to arrange them for me. Just rather more expensive paying in pounds.
Looking forward to joining in.

Hi I use a brand called softway and I swear by them. They're super absorbant and very well priced. You can get them in most specialist nappy stores. If you live in Tauranga or Rotorua you can get them in The NappyNest or if you live in Hamilton you can get them in Nappies for Less in The Clyde shopping center. If any one else out there who hasn't tried these fantastic nappies is reading this try and track them down. You'll love them!!!!!!!

Fuzzibunz are great! And yes - definately saving money in the long run. Just look at the return you can get for selling them 2nd hand on trademe! (if you dont plan on having more babies that is )

Oh my gosh! I saw fuzzibunz for the first time the other day and I am absolutely amazed at how advanced they are!!!!!!
Had an idea of what was involved but until I saw it for myself I couldn't really understand. They are fantastic!
Definitely using those type of nappies if I ever have a kid again.
I was never really a pro cloth nappy mum as I put Han in cloth once and she was soaked through and uncomfortable within 1/2 an hour. But I seriously advise Mums to check out the reusable nappy thing.

Nikki - its never too late to start!! LOL! Did you put Hannah in a folded flat? That is a really old-school way to use cloth, especially when you see what IS available these days. Ppl still do it that way though, but covers now are far more advanced than what was used back in our baby days.
